Business Survey 2008

What do you think of South Derbyshire as a location for business? Do you have problems recruiting staff with the skills that your business needs? Is complying with environmental and Health & Safety legislation a concern for you? How could the South Derbyshire Local Strategic Partnership do more to help local companies?

The South Derbyshire Local Strategic Partnership is keen to learn more about the views of businesses in the area. This will help South Derbyshire District Council, Business Link, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce and the other organisations involved in the Partnership to develop and improve the services they provide to local companies.

The previous Business Survey, in 2006, led to a range of initiatives to support local companies, including the Business Navigator project. This provides businesses with expert assistance and grants to help them improve their energy use, waste production, staff's health and safety and also the appearance, fire safety and security of their premises. For further information about Business Navigator.

If you would like to take part in the Survey over the telephone, interviews are being conducted by Groundwork Derby & Derbyshire – please contact Tina Boddington on 01773 539 430. The closing date for responses is 16 May 2008. Alternatively download the Business Survey questionnaire to complete yourself:
