On 9th May, Jemma Pool was chosen as this year's Carnival Queen. The judges had a very hard decision to make and I thank all who entered the competition. Charley Cooper (aged 6) and Hollie Scott (aged 7) will be her attendants.
Before Carnival Day on Friday 18th July
Local 60's music group FOGGY will be on the Scropton Road sports field in the marquee, supported by the young up and coming band THE AFTERSHOCKS. There will also be a DISCO – tickets are £5.00 and will be on sale shortly. The entertainment begins at 7.30pm and there will be a BBQ by the Scouts if you fancy a bite to eat.
