BT Payphone Removal Consultation
The company states that the number of calls made from public payphones has more than halved in the last three years. It wishes to consult on the removal of the following 18 public payphones within the district.

Choice-Based Lettings
The Government has a target that all social rented housing be allocated through choice-based letting schemes by 2010. We are now in the process of developing our choice-based letting scheme. We are seeking your views on the scheme and on the proposed draft new allocations policy.

Derby Housing Market Area Employment Land Review Consultation
Derby City Council (DCC), Amber Valley Borough Council (AVBC) and South Derbyshire District Council (SDDC) jointly commissioned the preparation of an ‘Employment Land Review’ of the whole Derby Housing Market Area (HMA).

Stenson Fields - new bus shelters and street lighting
After receiving requests from residents asking if a bus shelter could be provided, Cllr Pabla and Cllr Shepherd have contacted Derbyshire County Council asking for one to be located on the Arleston Lane between Derwent Drive and Lundie Close.
The County Council have two 'spare' shelters and have asked that we consult with the community. Their offer is for one near Jarvis Close and the other opposite Derwent Drive. Do you support the proposal?

Age 50+ Leisure Needs Survey 2008
We are conducting a new survey in partnership with the Swadlincote District 50+ Forum, South Derbyshire Council for Voluntary Services, Safer South Derbyshire and Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust to find out the involvement of those aged 50+ in the District in leisure and physical activities and also opinions on community safety in South Derbyshire.
Consultation Period: until 30th April 2008
Who can get involved: South Derbyshire residents aged over fifty.
Results: We received 800 completed questionnaires, a report of the findings will be available within the next month.

Draft Corporate Equality Scheme Consultation
Our draft Corporate Equality Scheme sets out how we as an organisation will implement equality in everything we do. It incorporates our statutory race, disability and gender equality schemes.

Youth and Junior Needs Surveys
We asked young people aged 7-19 across the district to fill in our survey so that we could find out about their sport and physical activity needs and improve our facilities and activities for them
Everyone who completed a questionnaire had the chance to win an iPod Nano or a "Five for a Fiver" pass for activities at Rosliston Forestry Centre. Schools also had the opportunity to win a Mobile Climbing Wall session or an Inflatable Laser Games session by sending the most questionnaires in

Draft Liscensing Act 2003 Policy Review
We consulted on a draft Licensing Policy Statement which explains how we will regulate alcohol and entertainment for a further three-year period, while ensuring public safety and preventing nuisance and crime. This will be in force with effect from 6 January 2008.

User Satisfaction Survey
In September 2006 we asked 6000 of you what you thought about the services the Council provides as well as your views on living in South Derbyshire. To determine how well we are doing, the Government collects information about whether local people are happy with their Council services every 3 years through a resident satisfaction questionnaire.

Woodville to Swadlincote Town Centre Area Action Plan
We carried out a consultation to develop an Area Action Plan (AAP) for an area of land between Woodville and Swadlincote Town Centre to bring about economic and environmental improvements. We published a consultation leaflet that summarised the key issues that were identified so far and presented three alternative strategic options. It was widely circulated in the area to generate further public comment and ideas.

The Licensing Draft Statemement of Policy
A consultation document set out how the Council required gambling in its widest form to be conducted and enforced in its area. The policy was amended in line with comments received.
Consultation Period: 5 July to 29 September 2006
Who got involved: Open to all
