Reading minutes and agendas

The Council committees and sub-committees are listed on the left. Select the name of a committee to see minutes from previous meetings. We are now publishing agendas and reports for some committees.

To request past minutes which are not yet available here, please contact us using the details at the bottom of the page.

Listening to minutes and agendas

If you prefer to hear these documents read to you, and you don't already have your own screen-reading software, you can use Browsealoud:

1. If you don't already have Browsealoud installed on your computer, you can get it free from www.browsealoud.com (external link)
2. Open Browsealoud Options and ensure there is a tick beside 'Speak text selections'.
3. Choose one of the HQ streaming voices from the drop down list.
4. Click 'OK' to save your changes and close Browsealoud Options.
5. The pdf document you want to listen to must be open in a browser window, rather than Adobe Reader or another programme.
6. In your browser, select the text that you want to convert to MP3 format. When the text has been selected and the mouse button released the Browsealoud pop-up menu will be displayed.
7. Click on 'Save As MP3'. When you have saved it, you will be able to listen using your computer, or transfer to an mp3 player.
