Derbyshire Compact

 

The Derbyshire Compact is an agreement between voluntary and community groups and statutory organisations, which sets out how these organisations will work together in partnership.

All voluntary and community (VCS) organisations are encouraged to sign up to the compact as well as local authorities, local strategic partnerships, learning and skills councils, primary care trusts and the emergency services.

The national compact was launched by Government in 1998. A local version of the compact, the Derbyshire Compact, was published in 2003 after extensive consultation.
