Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment - call for sites

The Derby Housing Market Area (HMA) comprises the three local planning authority areas of Derby City Council, Amber Valley Borough Council and South Derbyshire District Council.

A partnership of local authorities and other key stakeholders will assess the potential of land and buildings to provide for the future housing needs of the area. This process is called a Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA). It will be used to help develop new planning policies in each local planning authority’s Local Development Framework.

The practice guidance that the assessment is based on can be found at:
Department for Communities and Local Government - Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment: Practice Guidance

If you wish to identify a site or building which you consider to be suitable for residential development, please complete the site suggestion form below.

Completing and submitting the form

You can submit more than one site or building for consideration but please use a separate form for each site or building. Please complete each question on the form as fully as possible, particularly the site address and ownership (where known). If there are any constraints on the site, you should identify these and indicate how they could be overcome. If a site plan is not provided on an Ordnance Survey base showing the exact location of the site or building clearly identified in red, your submission will not be considered.
