Recycling - Kerbside Collections



Bins out for collectionWe collect recyclables from 98% of households in South Derbyshire.

We operate a kerbside collection service that aims to collect paper, foil, glass bottles and jars, tins and cans, and textiles.

Paper Recycling Scheme – ‘Blue Bag’
What can be put in your blue paper recycling bag

  • newspaper
  • magazines
  • junk mail
  • telephone directories
  • brochures
  • catalogues
  • letters and general paper (remove personal details to prevent identity fraud)

What cannot be put in your blue paper recycling bag 

  • envelopes
  • cardboard
  • plastic wrappers
  • general household rubbish

Multi-Material Recycling – ‘Green Box’
What can be put in your green recycling box

  • Clean food tins
  • Clean drinks cans
  • Clean glass bottles
  • Clean glass jars
  • Clean foil

  • Plastics

  • Paper
  • Textiles
  • General rubbish

Textile Recycling – ‘White Bag’
