Let's Kerb It Education Pack

The Education Pack is designed primarily to deliver the key waste management messages of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

However they will also help you to deliver some areas of the National Curriculum, particularly in Citizenship and PSHE. The activities are designed to prompt group discussions, feedback from pupils to the whole group and also encouraging the pupils to think for themselves and come up with ideas and solutions to problems which fit in with most curriculum subjects. Some activities do relate to particular subjects, such as maths (eg 'What do we through away') and History/ Geography, local study/local issues (eg 'History Mystery' and 'Role Play').

There are also strong links with the Health Promoting Schools and the Eco-School initiatives, run by the Primary Care Trust and County Council respectively.

The pack contains teacher’s notes and specialist resources needed to run sessions within the classroom. You will need to provide some other resources and photocopy some worksheets.

Each section contains background information together with a range of hands on activities.
