Legislation

Local Authorities can offer a range of locally-determined 'discretionary' grants or may provide assistance through loans and equity release products or a combination of both.

We are required to publish a policy setting out how we intend to provide housing assistance. We have published our latest policy for 2008-11 which you may view below. The Policy gives full details of the range of assistance currently available including grants and loans.
