Things to do in South Derbyshire range from small friendly local gatherings to large events drawing people from a wide area and cover a broad range of interests. The tradition of Well Dressing is found only in or near Derbyshire.

A varied programme of events is staged annually at a number of major attractions including Calke Abbey, Rosliston Forestry Centre, Sharpe’s Pottery Museum, Elvaston Castle Country Park and the Catton Hall Estate.
