Licensing is not required for tombolas or raffles if cloakroom tickets are sold and the raffle is drawn on the day. However if printed tickets are sold in advance to the public then a licence is required.

Inflatables such as bouncy castles are very popular however they can be dangerous.
Inflatable units are operated in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive Guidance Note PM76 "Safe Operation of Passenger Carrying Amusement Devices - Inflatable Bouncing Devices (ISBN 0118856049 and available from HSE bookshops).
