Festival of Leisure 2017

It's carnival time!

This year's Festival of Leisure will take place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June 2017 at Maurice Lea Memorial Park, Church Gresley.

We have a packed programme of entertainment with appearances from the Stunt Riders Live Tour, the Spectacular Knights of the Crusades, Japanese and Djembe drumming, local dancing talent and dog agility shows in the main arena; along with our regular fairground rides, craft marquee, People Express and Made in the National Forest marquee, a sports arena with lots of activities to try out, the Magic Attic and live music from Touch FM.

The emccan will once again be supporting the Festival with spectacular carnival costumes and performers from across the region. The amazing ZCC Brass Band and a huge butterfly and caterpillar will be roaming the park. Be sure to join in with the free Carnival Dance Workshop and Parade on Sunday.

Activities in the arena and on stage will commence a little earlier this year at 12.30pm and run until 5pm on both days.

Full details of the performances and timings are attached to this page, together with the festival poster.
