Get Active in the Forest

Get Active in The Forest is based at Rosliston Forestry Centre and is a way of being active, having fun and burning calories all at the same time.

Get Active offers a wide range of activities both to individuals and groups, these include:

All walks are led by trained volunteer walk leaders and anyone interested in becoming a volunteer can get involved as regular free training is available.

Strolling strong

Every Thursday at 11:30am. £3 per person. Aimed at new mums and their babies/toddlers, this walk includes a variety of exercises along the route and will be led by an experienced fitness instructor. No need for a babysitter, bring the children with you. Suitable for all levels of fitness. 



Outdoor activities

Activities include:

  • Orienteering
  • Laser Clay shooting
  • Woodland laser combat
  • Inflatable laser dome
  • Archery ( includes ‘have a go’ sessions and formal courses)
  • Birds of Prey

Group/corporate and party bookings taken – events and taster days available for individuals.

Tai chi

Classes every Tuesday 3 – 5pm at Rosliston - £3/session (rate subsidised by Get Active in The Forest) for more information ring 01283 563483 or email enquiries@roslistonforestrycentre.co.uk

Cycling

Cycle hire is available at Rosliston - please see the Rosliston Forestry Centre website below for further information

Senior cycling - Fridays at 10am. Suitable for beginners or people that haven't been on a bike for a while. Sessions led by experienced leaders on safe cycle trails around the site. £1.50 per person if you bring your own bike, £3 per session if you borrow one of ours.
