Jubilee street parties

2012 is a historic year as England celebrates the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.  People will celebrate in many different ways including by holding a street party.

Street parties are a traditional part of community life; they are a simple way for us to get to know our neighbours and meet members of our community.  2012 will be a historic year with a long weekend of celebrations to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in early June, including The Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday 3rd June.

South Derbyshire District Council would like to make arranging your own street party as easy as possible, by providing links to a wide range of information on this page.

The deadline for road closure applications has now passed due to the consultations required and legal process involved.
