The Derbyshire Directory is a 'one-stop shop' of information about thousands of local community clubs, organisations, charities and care services and can direct you to regional and national contacts where a local one is not available.
Community groups
Local community groups such as bands and choirs are listed on our Leisure in your area pages.
Resources for voluntary groups
If you are a local community group, sports club or voluntary group, and do not already have your own website, then you might be interested in visiting The Beehive - This Is Derbyshire's own online network devoted to the county's community groups.
If you represent any not-for-profit organisation, then join Beehive's rapidly growing online community and create your group a website for free.
Once you have signed up, you can
- create your own community web pages
- promote your events
- use the Bulletin Board to get information on the community voluntary sector in the area.

Other Resources
Melbourne Civic Society has a set of litter picking sticks available to borrow by any groups in and around Melbourne who are keen to tidy up the area. They can also lend high visibility safety vests.
