Our Citizens' Panel is an important part of our consultation commitment and provides a voice to local people, giving them the opportunity to express their views and to put forward their ideas on a wide variety of subjects. More about the Citizen's Panel
Six area forums are held quarterly across the District providing an opportunity for public participation by acting as a forum on matters of local interest. Councillors and council officers go out to six areas across the district to listen to comments from residents about their area and to report back to them about what the Council is achieving for them. Current dates of meetings.
We carry out a number of surveys incuding postal, face-to-face and telephone surveys. Wherever appropriate, we try to offer residents a choice of how to respond and often provide an opportunity for you to respond on-line. View details of current surveys being carried out.
When we need to gain a greater appreciation and understanding of how local people feel about a particular issue, we organise focus groups. These groups consist of about eight people who discuss issues in much more depth.
