Derbyshire Partnership Information Sharing Protocol

The Chief Executive, on behalf of South Derbyshire District Council, has signed up a Derbyshire-wide Information Sharing Protocol.

What is an Information Sharing Protocol?

The organisations shown below are committed to working together to deliver improved public services to the people of Derbyshire. To achieve this, we recognise that it is essential to lawfully share information.

An Information Sharing Protocol differs from an Agreement because it is a higher level document than an Information Sharing Agreement.

It is very general in its content covering areas including, but not limited to:

  • aims and objectives of the protocol
  • information about legal frameworks
  • purposes for sharing information
  • consent
  • general principles.
