Local Priorities Questionnaire - results and key findings

During 2008 and early 2009, we consulted key stakeholders on priorities for the District.  We did this with Derbyshire County Council (DCC) and South Derbyshire Community and Voluntary Sector (CVS).
Local Priorities key findings document cover

The purpose of the consultation was to understand local priorities, to find out what issues are important and what action should be taken by organisations such as the Council to address them.

The results have informed the priorities in Councils 2009-2014 Corporate Plan which sets out the vision for South Derbyshire.  This consultation has also provided an opportunity for all stakeholders to input into the development of the Sustainable Community Strategy and the wider place-shaping agenda for the District.

We have produced a local priorities consultation leaflet which presents a summary of the key results of the consultation process including:

  • what we were told (this includes a selection of the comments we received)
  • where we are now (this has been taken from existing research, consultation and performance information collected for the District)
  • what we are going to do (the key priorities and the changes local people should expect to see as a results of our Corporate Plan)
