Annual Report 2010-11

Making South Derbyshire a better place to live, work and visit.

In 2010-2011 our vision was making South Derbyshire ‘a better place to live, work and visit’.  This Annual Report gives you some examples of what we have done to help achieve this vision for the people of South Derbyshire.

2010-2011 has been another year of progress and development at the Council. We have had some notable achievements and successes. These have included the improvements to Swadlincote Town Centre, working in partnership with Northgate Public Services to deliver savings in our Corporate Services and the recognition of being named the third best Council in the Sunday Times top 100 places to work in public/third sector.

This report outlines the array of services we offer to our residents for just 41p a day.  We have continued with our pledge of providing you with value for money services, consistently improving, while keeping Council Tax low.
