South Derbyshire Environmental Forum

South Derbyshire Environmental Forum is an informal network of local environmental groups, parish councils and people with an interest in the environment.

Environmental Forum Logo

The forum was formed in 2008 in order to:

  • pool ideas and resources
  • get together for workshops and meetings to share information and learn new skills (for example, wildlife recording)
  • visit each others’ sites and projects to share best practice.
  • we all aim to improve the appearance of our towns and villages, improve local biodiversity and enjoy ourselves in the process!

The forum holds three to four official meetings a year and each group also organises its own projects and events during the year in its own village or area.

Get details of forum meetings. You can download the current programme from the related documents section below.

Groups can use the forum to contact each other and keep up to date with each other's projects – a chance to share best practice and resources.

Visit the environmental volunteering page to see how you can get practical support from local businesses to complete tasks on your sites or around your local area.
