Property

We own and manage shops, land and commercial and industrial units. These are called assets.
Business Property

Managing our own assets includes:

  • Making sure that they are fit for purpose
  • Negotiating, enforcing and varying restrictions
  • Granting rights of way and other property rights
  • Marketing empty shops and units
  • Selling property or land with the Council's approval. The money can be re-invested in property, or used to provide services.

We do not provide a valuation service to the public. To find a local surveyor in your area, please visit RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) (external link).

We do not keep details of who owns all land within our district. If a property or piece of land has been registered you may be able to find out who owns it by contacting Nottingham District Land Registry on 0115 935 3619 or visit the Land Register Online (external link).
