Licences and street trading

We help to ensure your health and safety by issuing a number of different licences. We also make sure that people work within the conditions of those licences.

The main categories of licence are:

  • Premises - licensed premises under the Licensing Act, 2003 including pubs, clubs, late night takeaways.  Also licensed premises under the Gambling Act 2005 including betting shops and adult gaming centres.

  • Vehicles - including private hire operators, driver and vehicle licences.

  • Miscellaneous, covering street trading , pet shops, other animal welfare related activities, charity collections and lotteries
