Household Waste - clinical waste collection

Clinical waste is any waste which poses a threat of infection to humans. The term also includes drugs or other pharmaceutical products.

Household clinical waste will be identified by your health care professional. This may contain human tissue, blood or other bodily fluids, excretions, swabs, dressings, syringes and needles. Your surgery or health care professional will make arrangements with us for the collection of this waste.

Household 'offensive / hygiene waste' describes waste which is non-infectious. It includes incontinence and other waste produced from human hygiene, nappies, animal faeces and soiled animal bedding. You can dispose of this in your normal black bin. Please contact us using the details below if the volumes of waste cannot be contained in your normal bin.
