What is RSS?
Get Active in the Forest
Get Active in The Forest is based at Rosliston Forestry Centre and is a way of being active, having fun and burning calories all at the same time.

(GP Referral session: Need referral from GP to access the scheme) - Tuesdays at Hilton Village Hall (1-2pm) and Thursdays at Netherseal Village Hall (2-3pm).
Street Soccer Programme The street soccer programme is a fun smaller version of the 11-a-side game. Teams consist of three outfield players and one goalkeeper. Games last for seven minutes with skill and flair being the name of the game. The programme is designed to help children and young people learn valuable new skills such as teamwork interaction while provide them with confidence and self-belief.

Most of the areas used will be concrete/tarmac areas please DO NOT bring football boots ensure you have waterproof clothes and a drink!!

Football course for children with disabilities and learning difficulties Midway FC is a Charter Standard Community Club and is relaunching its football course for disabled and learning difficulty children between the ages of 5 and 16 years old on 9 September.
The course runs in the Pingle High School Sports Hall, Swadlincote, 5:30 - 6:30 every Tuesday and all are welcome regardless of ability or experience.
Derbyshire Football Association, Derby County in the Community, South Derbyshire School Sports Partnership and South Derbyshire District Council are all supporting the project. Midway Football Club has also been awarded a grant by the Burton Brewers Trust to help them get the scheme off the ground but any further help with funding would be gratefully received.

Thursdays 10am-11am at Rosliston Forestry Centre, Thursdays 10-11am (starting 21 August 2008)

Jog Derbyshire - A Stepping Stone to Running
Get fit - Loose weight - Start Running
Tuesdays, 5.30 - 6.30pm, Swadlincote Library
If you are new to running then this session is perfect for you. The session will aim to increase running fitness through walking and jogging.
A qualified jog leader will always be on hand to provide advise and motivation to help you reach your goal.
