The contract was retendered for the 2009-2010 financial year and awarded to Robert Prettie's for three years with a possible extension of a further two.

The upgraded heating systems improve the energy efficiency in homes which means:

• Lower heating bills 
• Improved and more comfortable living conditions 
• Reduced risk of condensation

We install the highest category of energy efficient boilers (SEDBUK category A) and include a full package of user controls that includes thermostatic radiator valves in all habitable rooms.

Our aim is to give priority to properties that are currently heated by solid fuel only. In the next few years we will give priority to those properties that have electric storage heaters that can be easily connected to the gas mains.

We are currently looking at renewable energy sources to provide heating in properties that are not easily connected to the gas mains.
