Local Authorities can offer a range of locally-determined 'discretionary' grants or may provide assistance through loans and equity release products or a combination of both.
We are required to publish a policy setting out how we intend to provide housing assistance. We have published our latest policy for 2008-11 which you may be found in the related documents section. The policy gives full details of the range of assistance currently available including grants and loans.
There are a number of different grants available to help owner occupiers and tenants to repair or improve their home. The current types of grant available are listed in the main menu together with details of who is eligible, what the grant is for and any limitations or conditions that apply.
