Eureka Park is a traditional open park developed from a simple recreation ground during the 1920s and early 1930s. Named after a coal seam which runs beneath the park and the former colliery on the western side of the site, Eureka Park provides a green oasis close to the centre of Swadlincote and is used daily by many people, from dog walkers to school children, from sports clubs to walking groups.
The park was restored during 2014. Find out more about the Eureka Park restoration project.
