Opened in 1994, the Centre is being developed by South Derbyshire District Council and The Forestry Commission, in partnership with The National Forest Company and managed by Aurora Country Developments Limited.
There is plenty for you to see and do, from quiet places to enjoy the countryside, to family-fun activities such as orienteering trails, cycle hire and fishing.
The Visitor Centre is surrounded by 62 hectares of land, containing young trees, ponds, gardens and meadows and the Rolls-Royce Greenheart Lake.
Talks, workshops, parties, guided walks, meetings and school visits can also be arranged. Details can be obtained from the Centre Managers or the on-site Environmental Education staff.
If you wish to explore the area for a little longer than just a day, why not stay in our forest accommodation?
