Etwall Leisure Centre facilities, activities, clubs, opening hours and charges.

Etwall Leisure Centre is a joint venture between John Port School, South Derbyshire District Council, Derbyshire County Council, the local community and a number of other regional and national organisations which is managed by Active Nation.

In April 2011, South Derbyshire District Council started a seven-year partnership with charity Active Nation, in a bid to get more of its residents active. Active Nation is a 'not for profit' charity, where every penny spent at the leisure centres will reinvested to further improve the health of the community and to inspire and motivate residents to get fitter and healthier. The partnership will significantly enhance the facilities at the centres through a major investment programme spanning over the course of the contract.

During the school day the facilities are primarily for the use of the school with any spare capacity made available to the public.

The changing rooms were built specifically to accommodate the schools needs but again are available when not in use by the school. The Village changing area is generally available to the public.

The partners work together to ensure community use is maximised during the school day, particularly in the fitness suite and swimming pool.

Etwall Leisure Centre has some great facilities to get you more active.

Facilities include:

Our pool is 25m x 12.5m with six lanes. It has a pool depth from 0.9m to 2.0m with an excellent spectator area. Please note: children under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult.
Child admission policy applies.
We have a six court sports hall which is National Badminton England standard. It also features a spectator area.
Squash, Tennis & Netball etc. These facilities are available for community use. Times available from reception.
Fully air conditioned fitness suite with state of the art technogym equipment including a range of cardiovascular, weight resistance machines and a selection of free weights.

Activities

Activities include swimming, aerobics, spin, circuits, indoor sport facilities, body tone & conditioning, box-fit, five-a-side football, basketball, badminton, tennis, aqua classes, fitness suite, play schemes, personalised programmes. There is a full calendar of swimming courses.
