For the cyclist, Route 6 of the Sustran National Cycle Network, London to the Lake District, runs along the old railway line which passes adjacent to Kings Newton. This route also forms a local, easy linear route of 13 miles called the Cloud Trail.

For the walker we have a great walking Festival and hundreds of trails that criss-cross the gently rolling landscape. For a pack of local walks and trails contact the friendly staff at Swadlincote Tourist Information Centre.
