Things to do in South Derbyshire and The National Forest are many and varied, ranging from small friendly local gatherings to large events drawing people from a wide area.

A varied programme of events is staged annually at a number of major attractions including Calke Abbey, Rosliston Forestry Centre, Sharpe's Pottery Museum, Conkers, Elvaston Castle and the Catton Hall estate. The fascinating tradition of Well Dressing is found only in or near Derbyshire.
