Customer Service energy savings

During Customer Service Week, local organisations have been at the Civic Offices to offer advice on issues such as saving money, supporting families and helping other people.

Also during the week, staff from the District Council have also been on hand to give guidance on recycling, looking after your neighbourhood and claiming benefits.

On Friday 10 October Mark Alflat, South Derbyshire’s Director of Community Services will be at reception at 2.15pm with his specialist staff to offer advice on energy saving.

Says Mark Alflat, “With the credit crunch and global warming, it’s even more important not to waste heat and fuel. We have the first on-line thermal map in the County which has helped dozens of homes. Our experts are available to offer advice on the latest discount schemes for loft and cavity wall insulation and home loans and also to help with installing renewable energy devices such as solar panels. We have advice on getting home insulation and heating installed through the national ‘Warmfront’ scheme.”
