Customer Service staff are always available to help and during Customer Service Week they will be joined by their partners from other caring organisations.
Says Jayne Jones, Director of Corporate Services, “Our Customer Services team are always available to help. Our staff are available at the Civic Offices as a smiling friendly face, in person, by email or at the other end of a phone. For people who find it difficult to come to the Civic Offices who, for example, live in the more isolated rural areas we have a visiting Customer Services officer who can advise people on the whole range of Council services.
“We aim to offer a “one stop shop” to answer people’s queries. Our Customer Service staff at the Civic Offices, on 01283 595795 or by email at customer.services@south-derbys.gov.uk can offer help and advice on so many things such as environmental issues, national travel passes and even pest control. It doesn’t matter if the service is provided by the District Council or the County Council. Our aim is that the first person you contact can help you.”
During the week the Council’s partners will be on hand to help from 10am until 1pm each day. On Monday 6 October there will be an expert from the Money Spider Credit Union Ltd., on Tuesday from Home Start, on Monday and Wednesday from the CAB, on Thursday from the CVS and on Friday from Age Concern.
Jayne Jones continues, “South Derbyshire is known for its helpful and friendly people. Our Customer Service staff are part of and reflect our District. We are more than happy to help.”
