Every Tuesday at the award-winning Rosliston Forestry Centre, your body can travel to a different world for gentle exercise.
From 10am until 11.30am you can take part in special Yoga classes for beginners and refreshers.
Says Steve Bottrill who is leading the Yoga classes, ”Each session only costs £3.00. That’s not much to revitalise your body, mind and spirit. Yoga classes are starting on Tuesday 30 September after some local people asked if we could provide sessions to replace ones that were ending. You can just turn up at the Forestry Centre, or call me on 07526 719013.”
On Tuesday afternoons from 3pm to 5pm there are tai chi lessons.
Says Debbie Chesterman of Rosliston Forestry Centre, “While Yoga is rooted in India, Tai Chi comes from China. Both offer a gentle way to escape from the pressures and tensions of life and to exercise. The Tai Chi lessons only cost £3.00. It was because of our drive to provide exercise for all age groups and all abilities, that Get Active in The Forest won the National Lottery Award for the best sports project in the country.”
