News release 6 August 2008
Quantum Theatre presents a brand new production on Friday 8 August of Shakespeare's most enduringly popular play of love and intrigue, magic and celebration set on that most dangerous of nights when fairies are abroad and nothing is as it seems.
This magical story will be the first theatrical performance at Rosliston Forestry Centre's newest attraction, The Glade in The Forest, which is a purpose built staging area amidst the woodland scenery.
Says Cllr John Lemmon, Chairman of South Derbyshire District Council’s Housing and Community Services Committee, "I would like to invite people from Derbyshire, East Staffordshire, Leicestershire and Warwickshire to come and be enchanted by this fun, lively and very accessible new production of Shakespeare's classic comedy. It’s designed to appeal to the whole family and is suitable for all age groups.
"The drama will begin at 7pm. You are invited to bring along rugs, low backed chairs and picnics to make it a real outdoor experience. Tickets cost £9 for adults, £6.50 for children, £7.50 for concessions and £25 for a family ticket of two adults and two children. Although the weather hasn't looked too promising lately, the forecast is looking to change ready for this evening of fun and entertainment – so why not come along and enjoy it too?"
