news release 31 July 2008

There’s just over a week left to vote Get Active in The Forest, based at Rosliston Forestry Centre, as the best Lottery funded sports project in the country.

Voting closes at 12 midday on Friday 8 August, 2008. The results will be announced in a live show on BBC1 on Saturday 30 August.

Says Debbie Chesterman of Get Active in The Forest, "Please, please, please help us to be the best in the UK by voting for us on www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards

You can vote as often as you like. You can also vote by phone 0845 386 3453. Phone calls from a BT landline are charged at the BT lo-call landline rate for less than 5p for the whole phone call.

"Get Active in The Forest is a fun way for everyone to get fit. If we make it to the best in Britain, other parts of the country might use our ideas. From the little acorn of a scheme in South Derbyshire we can make the hearts of oak of England fit, healthier and even happier."
