News release 1 September 2008
A bird of prey demonstration, Charlie's Angels Dancers and a magician are among the entertainment lined up for South Derbyshire District Council's Housing Open Day 2008.
Being staged at Gresley Indoor Bowling Club in Gresley Wood Road, Church Gresley, the event is organised by the authority’s Housing Services department and is designed to say thanks to the department’s customers as well as providing them with information about and access to services.
Organisations that provide housing and community-related services, including the Safer South Derbyshire Partnership, Housing Options, Repairs and Maintenance, Connexions, Trident Housing Association, East Midland Housing Association, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue, NHS, and Derby University are attending the event.
Visitors to the free of charge event will be able to enjoy the inflatable laser quest, mobile play equipment and take part in a penalty shoot out run by Gresley Rovers Junior Team with signed prizes from Derby County, Burton Albion and Gresley Rovers (first team).
A prize draw will close the event with great prizes donated by South Derbyshire District Council. Each adult attending will be automatically entered into this prize draw. All children will receive a free gift on arrival.
The third annual South Derbyshire Housing Services Open Day runs from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday September 13.
