Proposed conservation area in Hartshorne and area of special local character

The District Council has considered a request by the Hartshorne Village Residents Association to designate the village as a conservation area.

Having examined the village and following the approval of the Environmental and Development Services committee the council is seeking views on a proposed Conservation Area in Hartshorne in the area around the Screw Mill.

We are also seeking views on potentially designating an Area of Special Local Character in the area around the parish church as detailed in the appended statement and relevant maps.

The documents below below contain the relevant maps and the related discussion document.

Your comments are welcome, to be received by Friday 29 April 2016.

You are invited to comment about any aspect of the documents, for example factual accuracy, characteristic features which you feel have not been acknowledged or you could also suggest reductions or extensions to the conservation area or the area of special local character.

The wider issue of should there be a conservation area or area of Special Local Character could also be considered.
