Process and return all standard local land charges searches within 6 working days’

The Land Charges Section is dedicated to providing the highest possible standard of service.  We regularly challenge the way in which the service is provided and we also recognise the important role members of the team provide in achieving success.   We regularly consult with customers in order to agree ways of meeting needs and expectations within the resources available and, where appropriate, we will embrace fair competition as a means of securing the most efficient and effective way of service delivery.

We aim to:

  • provide a fast and accurate service to the highest possible standards
  • meet your needs
  • treat all customers in a fair and courteous manner
  • complete 100% of standard searches within 8 working days or less
  • complete 75% of standard searches in 5 working days or less
  • encourage our customers to make the best use of Local Authority Searches
  • challenge the way in which the service is provided
  • consult with customers in order to agree ways of meeting needs and expectations
  • embrace fair competition
  • continue to improve our services

In the year 2009/10, we returned 100% of all searches within 8 working days.
