LDF Core Strategy consultation
To date there have been four consultations on the LDF Core Strategy. The latest consultation was ‘Options for Housing Growth’ which consulted on the amount of new housing needed over the next 15 years or so and where it should be located. Consultation events were held across the District in July and August 2011. Further information on this consultation can be found here.
Prior to the ‘Options for Housing Growth’ consultation, we undertook eleven neighbourhood planning 'drop in' events which ran through February and March 2011. These events were to start off conversations about the local area following the publication of the Localism Bill. In particular, we wanted to hear whether you agreed with our understanding of the issues facing your neighbourhood, and to hear what you thought your neighbourhood needed, be it more affordable housing, new play areas or better community facilities; what you thought needed to change and what should stay the same? Using the following link: 'Your Neighbourhood: Talk To Us' you can view further details regarding this consultation including Area Profiles. The responses received are now available on our online system at www.ldf.consultations.south-derbys.gov.uk or alternatively the leaflet below contains a summary of the responses received.
The second Core Strategy consultation was on the Issues and Alternative Options document which took place between the 15 January 2010 and the extended deadline of the 28 May 2010. These consultation documents can be viewed online at http://www.ldf.consultations.south-derbys.gov.uk alongside a summary of the comments received on the consultations.
The initial consultation on the Core Strategy was undertaken on the Issues and Ideas document between January and April 2009.
Please note we welcome the submission of public comments, views and information relating to the Core Strategy at any time.
