South Derbyshire Sport runs an annual awards evening which recognises the achievements of:

• Sports performers (including disabled, junior and veteran)
• Sports teams
• Sports clubs
• Sports coaches
• Sports volunteers

South Derbyshire Sports Grants

Every year, we invite nominations from county level performers and above to apply for a small sports grant to assist with the costs of competing at this level. The scheme is run by South Derbyshire Sport and also includes a sports pass scheme, which gives performers free access to use some of the district sports facilities. 

We will review sports grant applications three times a year. Deadlines for applications are 31 July 2008, 30 November 2008, 28 February 2009

South Derbyshire Sports Awards 2007

The 2007 Awards Evening was held at Pingle School on Monday 16 July and was attended by over 120 people.

Pictured right is Ray Statham, Woodville Cricket Club, winner of the Service to Sport Award. Winners in each of the categories for South Derbyshire will automatically be put forward for consideration in the Derbyshire Sports Awards.
