Simple guide for motorists - Swadlincote town centre pedestrian zone

These rules now apply every day of the year.
Can park anywhere in the Pedestrian Zone (specific rules apply to High Street) as long as they are not causing an obstruction;
Can park for a maximum of 3 hours and must display the required badge and clock;
Can park on High Street after 4.00pm and before 10.00am as long as they are not causing an obstruction;
Can use the bays on West Street (but not the marked Community Bus space).
Can deliver after 4.00pm and before 10.00am;
Should use rear service yards when possible;
Should park and unload in the carriageway and avoid riding on to pavements;
Are encouraged to use the dedicated bay on Midland Road / Belmont Street next to the Delph.
Any vehicle can drive through and park on the Pedestrian Zone streets after 6pm and before 8.00am as long as they are not causing an obstruction.
Between 8.00am and 10.00am and 4.00pm and 6.00pm, vehicles are allowed in to the zone, but cannot park (apart from some specific road users).
