Free Tree Scheme

Our Free Tree Scheme is run in partnership with The National ForestNorth West Leicestershire District Council and East Staffordshire Borough Council.

Applications are now closed

To celebrate 20 years of twinning between South Derbyshire and Toyota City we offered types of maple and cherry this year which are trees of cultural significance to Japan.

All trees are two years old and approximately 30cm to 60cm (up to two feet) high. Check our information on how to plant (pdf, 171kb) to see what trees are available this year and to decide what would be most suitable for your site.

Collection dates will be held on Thursday, November 29 and Saturday, December 1. If you have applied for free trees this year we have emailed you to confirm your allocation, collection time and venue.

We have been running the Free Tree Scheme for many years and love to see any photographs of trees you have planted.

Upload them to our Environmental Education Project Facebook page or tweet them to @RoslistonEnvEd.
