Our independent Resident Scrutiny Panel consists of tenants who work closely with us to improve Housing Services.
The panel’s main function is to act as a ‘critical friend’ by carrying out reviews and presenting recommendations to senior management for improvement.
Its aims are to:
- Improve tenant satisfaction
- Improve performance of day to day services
- Influence our decisions
- Achieve the best possible value for money
- Hold us to account for our performance
As part of the Localism Act 2011, the panel has been registered as a ‘Designated Person’ with the Housing Ombudsman.
This has been introduced by the Government to improve the chances of complaints about social housing being resolved locally and to involve councillors and residents in the process. More information can be found here.
