Under the above Act, the Licensing Authority is required to prepare and publish a statement of the principles that they will apply in exercising their duty under the Act every three years. The consultation has now ended and a copy of all related documents are below.

Notice of publication of Statement of Principles 2019-2022 Gambling Act 2005 (Licensing Authority Policy Statement) (England & Wales) Regulations 2006 Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of Section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005 and in accordance with The Gambling Act 2005 (Licensing Authority Policy Statement) (England and Wales) Regulations 2006, South Derbyshire District Council (the Council) will publish on 24th December 2018 a revised Gambling Act 2005 Statement of Licensing Policy and Local Area Profile Plan, that is proposed to be applied by the Council in the exercise of their licensing functions under the Gambling Act 2005.

The said revised Statement of Licensing Policy shall come into effect on 31st January 2019. The revised Statement of Licensing Policy is available for download on the Council’s website at https://www.south-derbys.gov.uk/our-services/licensing/policyconsultations and will be available for inspection Monday to Friday 9.00 to 17.00 at the Council’s Offices at Civic Way, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE11 0AH.
